Lionhead Studios today announced that the recently released Fable II (read our review here) will be getting it's first downloadable content this December.

Since the games launch in late October the game has gone on to sell over 1.5 million copies, and now gamers will be able to expand this experience via the 'Knothole Island' DLC. Lionhead describes the Island as follows: "The remote island of Knothole is dying: its golden sands and lush vegetation are covered with snow, its people freezing, its treasures buried. Only a hero can face the trials of the three shrines to bring back the sunshine."

In addition to this premium DLC, a new dashboard theme has been created to show off Albion in all it's glory, and thats available now for 250 MSP.

No specific date has been set for the Knothole Island DLC but expect to pay 800 MSP for new quests, wondrous items and bizarre characters, come mid-December.

Good stuff, I hope there are a lot of new quests to keep me occupied.
