PS3 owners had something to cheer about today as SCEE revealed the Hi-Def update of the classic Playstation racer will be available to download from next week.
With it's techno soundtrack and high-speed racing thrills, Wipeout was one of the biggest reasons to own a Playstation back in the day. Despite several sequels on technically superior hardware nothing has come close to the first two games in the series. Now you can relive all your old memories in full Hi-Def. Nice!
Sony Europe announced today that Wipeout HD will be released on the Playstation Network from next Thursday for the bargain price of £11.99. Considering you get a bunch of the best tracks from the series all in glorious 1080p, online races AND running at a smooth 60FPS, this is pretty good value for money.
