Ever since it's announcement at E3 back in 2008 the gaming world has been eagerly awaiting the release of God of War III and many have predicted it to be ones of the games to watch in 2010, including us. Finally today the silence was broken as the EU PlayStation blog revealed the U.S. launch date of 16th March and stated that PAL regions will also be seeing Kratos and his intense eye staring at them in stores the very same week.
This final chapter completes the story of the tormented Ghost of Sparta as he joins the gigantic Titans in scaling Mount Olympus to take on the Greek Gods. Trailers have shown the continuation of the trademark God Of War violence, brutal combat and epic scale that has made the first two games so highly acclaimed. Also revealed in the blog is a teaser announcing a brand new trailer set to land on 11th February.
