Not content with how Dead Space ended? Felt it left it too open? Fear not as it seems a sequel is in the works, that is according to a job posting on the professional networking site LinkedIn. The post made by Jeff Ballard, senior recruiter for EA, states "the previous installment in the Dead Space franchise received numerous award, and the same core team is in place to create an even better follow up."
As for what stage the developers are at the same post answers that 'the game
is in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the
next few months, with many of the navigational and combat mechanics in
place." Expect Dead Space 2: Not doubt it'll have an extended title, to be release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii now that Extraction is available for Wii (released this week). More proof that new intellectual property and blossom into a succesful series.
