DLC For Fallout 3 On PS3

PS3 owners may have felt a little disheartened by the lack of downloadable content for Fallout 3 but as it's easy to tell by the title, this won't last forever. Bethesda Europe have announced today that 'Operation: Anchorage' will be released on the Playstation Network in late June with 'The Pitt' and 'Broken Steel' to follow with a gap of 4-6 weeks in between.

Also revealed is the news that there will be a further 2 packs of DLC named 'Point Lookout' and 'Mothership Zeta' that will grace all three platforms in the future. The Xbox 360 and PC will get 'Point Lookout' in late June with 'Mothership Zeta' due to hit the virtual stores in late July. PS3 owners will sadly have to wait until after the original 3 packs have arrived before the final two make an appearance but it's nice to know they will arrive.

Finally to tie all these together, a Game of the Year Edition will make an appearance with the original game and all 5 DLC packs included. This will be released in October and it appears all platforms will get it at the same time. The PC and Xbox 360 will be getting two extra versions of the game leading up to the GOTY edition containing some, but not all of the DLC:

Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes 'The Pitt' and 'Operation: Anchorage' on a disc and will be available on June 12th across Europe.

Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes 'Broken Steel' and 'Point Lookout' on a on a disc and will be available in August across Europe.

There's no doubt it's not the end of the world for this apocalyptic RPG. Props go to TheSixthAxis for getting hold of this tasty nugget of news before it even went to general press release. Thanks guys!
