Just in case anyone was wondering whether the guys over at Criterion have been putting their feet up for the past few months then think again. They have been busy beavering away working on a sneaky free update that they must have forgot to mention amongst their mass of already announced premium content.
They have now posted on their website a whole host of improvements and additions. Not only that but it's just around the corner with a release date of 6th February. There's a short summary of these waiting for you after the jump. You can't help but commend Criterion on how they've supported this game. It's the game that just keeps on giving.
*In Game Store - So you can buy all your additions without even having to leave the game. This only states that it's available on the PS3 and PC though.
* Vehicle Dynamics - The handling has been tweaked on a lot of the cars to make the game even more accessible. The idea behind this is to make the game easier to play but hard to master.
* Junk Yard - This has had an overhaul and now has a better filter to switch between bikes, cars, legendary cars, boost specials and toy cars.
* Stunt Run - The countdown timer between stunts has now been slowed although it does get faster depending on how many multipliers you have.
* Events Rebalanced - All events have been adjusted to take into account the tweaked car handling.
* Road Rage - Once the number of target cars have been hit, subsequent takedowns don't award additional time. It's to stop ridiculously long road rage sessions and make it more of a challenge to hit higher numbers.
* Visuals - The Super Jumps, Billboards and Smashes have now been made easier to spot especially with the new visual pulse.
* Restart - You can (finally) now restart any events again without having to go all the way back to the starting point. Or you can quit it. It's up to you.
* Barrel Rolls - These now automatically right themselves when landing so they are much easier to pull off. This still doesn't stop the air junkies out there pulling off crazy aerial moves though.
