This Guy Is About To Play FIFA 15 For 48 Hours Non-Stop
One man is preparing to take on the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent playing a football game — the current record, set in 2012, stands at the 48 hours and five minutes.
Hoping to go way beyond extra time, Chris Cook of GamePointsNow is taking on the challenge in an effort to raise funds for award-winning videogame charity Special Effect.
To be successful Chris will have to play EA’s latest footy game FIFA 15 for more than two days straight. If he manages it Chris will gain the record for “The Longest Video Game Marathon On a Football Game”.
The World Record attempt will take place out of London’s Loading Bar from November 5th, with the action also being streamed online via Twitch. Throughout the live stream Chris will invite people to challenge him to a match online.
Speaking about the upcoming challenge, Chris said:
“I’ve been playing FIFA games since they first started way back on the Mega Drive, so couldn’t think of a better way to raise money & awareness for a truly amazing cause. As someone who has seen firsthand how gaming can help enhance lives, I could not think of a better charity to lend my support to”.
The charity, founded in 2007, dedicates its efforts towards using technology to enhance the lives of those with physical disabilities, be that through videogames or leisure technology.
In his quest to set a new FIFA world record we say good luck.
