FIFA 15 (-70%) remains top of the chart despite a significant drop in sales and new competition in the top five.

Middle Earth: The Shadow of Mordor arrives at second as the best release of a Lord of the Rings franchise game. Split on the formats, Shadow of Mordor finds favour on the PlayStation 4 with 56% over Xbox One with 41%.

The next release in the series, Forza Horizon 2 takes third with Xbox One taking 73% of sales against the Xbox 360.

On the 3DS alone, Super Smash Bros. makes its debut, grabbing fourth ahead of Destiny (-30%), which drops from second.

A release on PlayStation 4 gives Microsoft-owned Minecraft: PlayStation Edition (+176%) a boost in sales and a jump from ninth to sixth. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition sits at eighth with an Xbox One release set to follow later this year.

Disney: Infinity 2.0 (-26%) and Call of Duty: Ghosts (-12%) drop four places, to seventh and ninth respectively, before The Sims 4 (-18%) completes the top ten.

The only other new release this week is Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes, from Dublin/Kiev based Frogwares, at twenty-seventh.
