UK Chart: Watch Dogs Improves As Market Continues Slump

Watch Dogs

The UK game market suffered again this week with a three percent drop in sales over revenue. With no new titles released, that marks the lowest week for income this year.

Watch Dogs (+3%) is at the top again for the third time in a row and sixth overall. FIFA 14 (+5%), which has been at the top on seven occasions this year, is at second for a second week running.

A small sales improvement makes a big difference, as Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (-4%) takes three places to fourth.

Sniper Elite 3 (-6%) loses sales but moves up one place to fourth nonetheless.

With the release of the DVD/Blu-Ray of the film this week, promotions have pushed The LEGO Movie Videogame (+41%) up seven places to fifth.

Constantly on the move, Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition (-6%) has taken one spot in each of the last four weeks, landing at sixth this week.

Grand Theft Auto V moves up four from eleventh, around Titanfall which sticks at eighth.

Call of Duty: Ghosts falls from the third to ninth, ahead of rival Battlefield 4 at tenth.

EA has seen a couple of surprising movers at the bottom end of the chart – four year old Skate 3 (+17%) continues a successful period which leaves it at twenty-fifth. Promotions also help Need for Speed: Rivals (+44%) back into the top 40.
