UK Gamers Still Prefer Buying Boxed Games
Recent research suggests that the switch from physical to digital is far from being complete, revealing that a large number of consumers still prefer buying boxed games.
Analysis conducted by Kantar WorldPanel showed that, despite a significant uptake in digital retail, some 72 percent of consumers still buy only boxed products.
According to Kantar WorldPanel’s report only ten percent of UK gamers have completely made the switch from physical to digital only.
Unsurprisingly the report stated that the reason for sticking with physical was in part due to the ability to trade-in boxed games.
