UK Chart: LEGO Leading

The LEGO Movie Videogame

Newly released film tie-in, The LEGO Movie Videogame,  is the most successful title of the week, as FIFA 14 tumbles down the chart. The release of the film has also boosted popularity in past titles, with the likes of Lego Batman 2 and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga re-entering the chart.

At second, Call of Duty: Ghosts (-23%) misses out on the top by some 15,000 copies, despite vigorous retailer promotion.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XXIII, the final part in the Final Fantasy XIII storyline, sells well in its first week reaching third place.

A minor drop in sales can’t save FIFA 14 (-4%) from fourth, however it stays ahead of Grand Theft Auto V (+47%) which is another game to benefit from recent price promotions.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes (+16%) drops to sixth, despite growing sales with the inclusion of a Nintendo DS version.

Battlefield 4 (+4%) sticks in at seventh as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (+47%) jumps from tenth to eighth. As a result, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (-4%) falls one place to ninth.

Finally, Fable Anniversary (-56%) suffers heavily in its second week and drops to tenth from third.
