UK Chart: Black Flag First

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag tops the chart following a midweek release, with Battlefield 4 taking second due to slightly less time on shelves. Both failed to better the release performance of their predecessors.

FIFA 14 (+5%) sticks at third with an increase in sales from console bundles. Grand Theft Auto V (-13%) drops to fourth, but comes in ahead of last week’s number one Batman: Arkham Origins (-56%).

Football Manager 2014 releases to sixth, but is another title that falls short of past ventures, selling 7% less than Football Manager 2013’s debut.

WWE 2K14, picked up by 2K before THQ folded, is a new release at seventh.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition (+53%) is still in the Top 10 and, like FIFA 14, is bundled with consoles this week to give it a sales boost, but drops one place to eighth.

Falling five places, Skylanders Swap Force (-9%) lands at ninth.

Pokémon Y (-20%) swaps with Pokemon X (-22%) to keep the latter out of the Top Ten.

The console release of Angry Birds Star Wars arrives at thirtieth to help the PC version up the chart.
