BBC WeatherBy heck it’s windy! Yup, the UK was sent into panic as the ‘St Jude’ storm blew its way across the nation on Monday morning, with wind speeds of up to 99-MPH recorded in some parts of the country.

Now, depending on where you live the storm may or may not be that bad, but either way the awful weather presents the perfect excuse to stay inside, get warm and put your feet up. Here’s a few particularly windy videogames you can play to pass the time:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

The Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker HD

This ones a no brainer right? Recently re-released for Nintendo’s Wii U, the Wind Waker sees Link take to the high seas, harnessing the power of wind to journey between islands in the battle against Ganondorf.

You reverently control the breeze by conducting it at will with your ‘wind waker’ baton – fancy.

Flower

Thatgamecompany’s PSN hit Flower is very much at peace with the flow of wind, no matter how forceful. Throughout the game you navigate the currents, accumulating flower petals to reach your journey.

Originally released back in 2009, we called it a “striking gaming experience”, and you’d do no wrong to play through it again today.

Lost Winds

Join forces with your wind spirit pal to save your village — that’s the order of the day in LostWinds. You play Toku, and you’re joined by a wind spirit call Enril, together you go on to defeat the threatening Balasar by tackling a wide range of wind-based puzzles.

Originally released as a WiiWare title back in 2008 the game is now also available on the iOS App Store. The sequel, LostWinds 2: Winter of the Melodias, is also available should you fancy some more wind puzzling action.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
