Payday 2

Payday 2, from Swedish firm Overkill Software, marks the top of the chart, demoting long standing Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (-14%) to second. The first Payday game, Payday: The Heist, was originally released on the PlayStation Network and PC in 2011 in a download only format — the sequel is available both as a downloadable and at retail for the 360, PS3 and PC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (+60%) continues a run up the chart with another four places taken this week. At the start of the Premier League season, FIFA 13 (-18%) drops two places as a result of higher chart movement.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (-9%) and The Last of Us (-19%) stick at fifth and sixth respectively.

The Smurfs 2 (-31%) falls four places to seventh ahead of Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes (+0%) and Tomb Raider (-10%), both of which refuse to move from eighth and ninth position.

Grand Theft Auto IV (+6%) reenters the top ten as the release of its sequel approaches.
