Tearaway Release Date Revealed

Published April 18, 2013 by |

At the beginning of this year we picked out 13 games to look out for in 2013, among these was Media Molecules latest outing Tearaway. The developers have now revealed the release date for their upcoming Vita adventure title with the UK seeing it in stores on 25th October.

Lead Designer Rex Crowle went on record on the above video to describe why paper was the chosen to be the prominent feature in this adorable game and how the Vita’s features allow players to ‘feel’ the game in their hands. Also as part of this you are treated to some lovely new gameplay from the minds behind LittleBigPlanet.

Since Tearaway features two possible main characters, iota (the male messenger) and atoi (the female messenger), so the game will feature a reversable cover. Each will  focus on either the male or female and although this isn’t a game changing includsion it’s a nice addition nevertheless.

The comments section on the blog also gave a little but of extra information from James Spafford, Community Manager at Media Molecule, to say that the finger that’ll appear in the game is customisable.

As with the majority of games, Media Molecule have confirmed there are bonus items  for pre-ordering but will reveal them in future posts.

Although October seems like far away we are sure there will be much more announced before then. Stick with Gamebrit for all the updates.
