UK Chart: Bioshock Infinite Peaks Busy Week

Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite strikes the skyline of the UK chart at launch week, toppling Bioshock 2’s launch sales by around 9000 copies.

Bioshock Infinite’s chart-topping release has failed to topple best launch of the year so far: Tomb Raider, despite a mid-week release. Tomb Raider sticks at second with promotions lifting weekly sales by 45%.

Gears of War: Judgment (-63%) drops to third to accommodate the above movement, holding off opposition from FIFA 13 (+86%), which takes heavy sales improvements over last week. Luigi’s Mansion 2 is the second new release this week, entering solely on the 3DS and finishing the top five.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is another new release, heading into sixth closely followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops II (+67%), which is yet another title with a large increase in sales.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is the final new release in the top ten, ahead of Assassin’s Creed III at ninth and Crysis 3 (+64%) which completes the top ten.

There are two other new releases this week; Lego City Undercover for the WiiU at twelfth, and the fourth entry in the Sly Cooper series, Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time  for the PS3 and Vita, which stumbles disappointingly at thirty-first.
