MCV has revealed the finalists for the Games Media Awards 2012, highlighting the best writing talent in games journalism from across the UK.
The awards show, now in its sixth year, is set to take place later this autumn, naming the winners at London’s Vinopolis on Wednesday October 18th.
Spread across thirteen categories the event includes such accolades as best Games Website, best Games Magazine, best Specialist Writer in Print and more. One category even celebrates top Twitter personalities.
Twelve of the thirteen category finalists were announced, leaving the coveted Games Writer of the Year award shrouded in secrecy. The prestigious gong is this year being judged by award-winning journalist Tim Lott.
Finalists include the likes of Digital Spy, Edge, Ready Up, Rock Paper Shotgun and the now defunct Inside Xbox.
