Mass Effect 3 releases to record sales this week. Making its mark simultaneously on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, the last game in the Mass Effect trilogy manages a sales figure that eclipses the launch of the two prequels combined.
EA’s SSX drops from the top, recovering at second place with a 49% reduction in sales over its first week. Capcom release Street Fighter X Tekken muscles its way into third, ahead of FIFA 12 (-7%) and Mario Party 9 (+8%).
The Sims still proves popular as expansion pack The Sims 3: Showtime displays well on debut at sixth. Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (-14%) slips twice to seventh whilst Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (-23%) drops a single place to eighth and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (-15%) maintains ninth position.
Zumba Fitness. All I ever hear is Zumba Fitness. Well, it’s back in the top ten after a five week absence.
