Snowboarding hit SSX returns for the first time in five years, going straight in at number one and topping this weeks chart.  The self-titled reboot marks the last EA-published game to be stocked by retailers GAME and Gamestation.

FIFA 12 returns to second from fourth. Mario Party 9, which is unavailable at all GAME Group stores, reaches third at the end of its launch week. Uncharted: Golden Abyss drops from the top spot to fourth in its second week, following a 71% drop in sales. Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games climbs one place to complete the top five.

UFC Undisputed 3 drops three places to sixth, whilst Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gains a place at seventh. Pricey PlayStation Vita title FIFA Football is down six places to eighth, edging out above Assassin’s Creed: Revelations which jumps twenty-two places to ninth. Battlefield 3 just manages to complete the top ten, losing one place since last week.

The PC version of Alan Wake and Premier Manager 2012 both released this week, but failed to mark the UK All-Format Top 40. Both fall on the PC chart, at eleventh and thirtieth respectively.
