The Android Market as we know it is no more, as on Tuesday Google’s digital distribution platform underwent a huge change, re-branding itself as Google Play.
Google’s new online store now serves as a home for anything you would care to buy from the search giant, incorporating the Android Market application store, Google Music and the Google eBookstore.
What this means for me and you is that you can now grab all the content you could possibly want from just one location, that and the Android Market name is now dead.
To mark the launch Google announced that it would be offering up a selection of content, including music, movies and of course games at special prices. Android gamers can now pick up a whole host of titles for just 49p on Google Play, including N.O.V.A 2, ZOOKEEPER, World of Goo, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Dead Space and more.
