The Last Story

Earlier in the week we brought you news that GAME had cancelled customer orders for the limited edition version of upcoming Wii game The Last Story, however it has now emerged that the troubled retailer will not be selling the game at all.

The Mistwalker RPG is due to hit stores this Friday (February 24th), but gamers won’t be able to pick it up at GAME’s website or in any of their 610 UK GAME and Gamestation stores.

News of the additional cancellation came via Nintendo Life who received a tip from a reader. The reader received an email from GAME reading:

Unfortunately we are no longer stocking The Last Story on Wii. If you return to the store they will be happy to refund your £5.00 deposit.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

All versions of the game have now been removed from both GAME and Gamestation websites, with only a news story about the limited edition remaining on GAME’s site as acknowledgment of its existence.

When we asked about the cancelleation GAME simply said that “The Last Story, for the Wii, is not in stock and we have apologised to any customers this has affected”.
